What is a smart contract?
As smart contracts are based on blockchain, they guarantee the immutability of data, allowing contracts and agreements to be made without the need to know each other and avoiding possible breaches of conditions or mistakes in the management and execution of the contract.
Is a NFT a smart contract?
NFTs are minted through smart contracts that assign ownership and reassign it when transferred or resold. At a basic level, smart contracts act as a tool to implement a sale agreement.
Blockchain explained in brief?
Blockchain is a shared, immutable ledger that facilitates the process of recording transactions and tracking assets in a business network. An asset can be tangible (a house, car, cash, land or artworks) or intangible (intellectual property, patents, copyrights, branding). Unlike standard databases which store data in centralized, relational tables, blockchain is an open, peer-to-peer (P2P) network that favors communal functionality in lieu of a centralized controlling entity. In blockchain, data is collected into groupings called blocks and connected to a chain, so that every new generated blocks include informations from the blocks generated before which are encrypted.
What is a token?
A token is a digital unit of value that represents an asset or utility. Unlike coins, tokens do not have their own blockchain and are issued on top of existing networks. Unlike coins, tokens are not mined in the process of transaction validation. Instead, they are minted.
What are royalties?
NFT royalties are crypto payouts designed to proffer galleries or artists a cut of secondary sales of their digital artworks. The percentage of sale designated for royalties is set by the creator at the time of minting. That feature will be implemented on Blockunique in near future.
What is an ERC standard?
Basically, smart contract standards are rules a smart contract must comply with in order to function as intended on the underlying blockchain network. In short, they enable smart contracts to perform their basic functions.
Difference between ERC1155 and ERC751 Token?
ERC-751 token is a non-fungible token, often referred to as NFTs, are blockchain-based tokens that each represent a unique asset like a piece of art, digital content, or media. An NFT can be thought of as an irrevocable digital certificate of ownership and authenticity for a given asset, whether digital or physical, meanwhile ERC-1155 is the first and only Ethereum token standard that allows users to mint both fungible (identical) and non-fungible (unique) assets in a single smart contract—enabling the creation of every type of asset, from digital currency to tokenized real estate up to gaming items and digital art.
