20 years hiatus

Berlin in the late 80s. Gray walls, concrete deserts, but the spirit of youth strives for color, for freedom. DISK, still young, but full of drive, was inspired to grab the spray cans, ready to let his brush dance across the city. Show more...

The canvases of the legends, their colorful tags and pieces in impossible places, nourished his soul. Movies like "Wild Style" and "Style Wars," chronicles of a colorful, rebellious movement, reinforced his urge.

Stone from T2B, master of the spraying art, took DISK under his wings. Taught him the intricacies of the technique, the secrets of color mixing. "Fill the void," he said, "but pay attention to the flow of the lines, the harmony of the colors."

In those days, the young rebels still went through the streets to get materials. Get spray cans at Drospa, steal skinny caps at the drugstore. The main thing was to spray color on everything that stood still. DISK made the loot his own, shaping it for his own expression.

Now armed he went out to immortalize his name in impossible, hidden places in this concrete world. His eye for the perfect spot, his feeling for the right moment, and the fire of rebellion in his veins made his fame blaze beyond West Berlin.

Day after day, year after year, driven to this day by his urge to enliven the gray everyday with color. Over 3 decades, and not yet tired of continuing to style...
