PHERZ, an up-and-coming artist, began his creative journey in 1990 in the newly reunified Berlin, right after the fall of the Wall. In those exciting times, he joined the first crew CMD (Criminal Minded), which roamed the city with its unique graffiti creations. He drew inspiration from the pulsating graffiti scene of New York and the artists of old West Berlin.
PHERZ had the whole country as his canvas, and so he left his distinctive traces on walls throughout the republic. During his active time, he networked with other crews nationwide at hip hop jams, and his artworks spread in both East and West. Even the ICE trains racing from city to city carried his artistic message further.
After conquering the streets, PHERZ turned to the canvas and created artworks that became coveted collector's items. In addition, he expressed his inexhaustible creativity in everyday objects by designing and shaping toys. PHERZ is an artist who understands how to articulate his unique perspective on the world in different media and contexts, while continuously producing fascinating works of art.
